Sydney Dorsey On The Anonymous
Sydney Dorsey is one of the competitors on The Anonymous, a brand new reality strategy competition show that premiered on USA Network on 19 August 2024. Twelve people participate in the show; each member has their own personal underground hideout and realm. They can scheme and lie against their rivals to earn more popularity and strengthen their power over the others, all thanks to their shrewd and unvarnished observations of the other players.
The grand prize for the winner is $100,000.
Sadly, Sydney was the first person to go home after the season premiere. She shared in an interview that navigating a unique dynamic in keeping with what happened in the chat was the hardest thing she had to do.
“We were given these iPads to kind of take notes on and who we thought was who. I was so mind-boggled and confused, like you don’t get the tone in these chats. You don’t know who is who, and you have everybody trying to be somebody else. And it was just so crazy, ” Sydney shared.
Sydney’s strategy going in the show as to be that relatable person or flirt if necessary.
“And I guess I’m using flirt, very loosely, because my definition is a little bit different from others. I mean just being out in public, maybe at a bar or something like that, just trying to have a conversation with a guy, just the way that I conversate, they probably would think that I’m flirting with them. I’m like, ‘No, I’m just a nice, pretty person. I’m like, don’t get the wrong idea’,” She added. “But I, I don’t think I necessarily was trying to flirt. But rather, conversate, and, you know the no offense but the idea of a guy, they’re like, “Oh, this girl likes me.” So, you know, I was just, I was playing the game. I’m just hoping something worked out.”
Despite her love for a brief time, Sydney stated that she would have changed her gaming if she could go back and revisit it. “I definitely think I would have sat back and been more just present in conversations, rather than speaking up,” she told USA Insider. “And then maybe I would have begged a little bit for people to keep me had I been put up for risk again. But there’s always those ‘what ifs’ in every situation like that.”
But leaving the show is going to be difficult for her because of the friendships she forged in the show. She shared that she has stayed in contact and she got to conversate with the cast members outside of the show. When the promo premiered, they shared the video on the group chat and ridiculed each other.
However, Sydney is just happy that she was able to keep in contact with everybody and hopes for a reunion.

Sydney Dorsey is a hairstylist and the owner of Everwild Boutique in Swainsboro, Georgia. She founded the business and has been its CEO since March 2023.
Before that, Sydney competed in several pageants. Sydney won the title of 2019 USA National Miss Teen. She was declared the champion of the teen division and the national casualwear competition. Sydney also participated in the USA National Miss Pageant, held at the Walk Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort from July 7–13, 2019.
Despite the fact, Sydney never thought she would see herself on a TV one day.
“I grew up going to dirt track races and competing in pageants and weird things like that. Never did I think I would see myself on a on a TV show. Um, so, I mean, it was just an incredible experience to be there and to take away everything I learned, and it was such a huge gift to me and a blessing to me, because I have struggled with anxiety so much, starting in middle school, and so when I was getting my physical for the show, my doctor, almost, believe it or not, didn’t sign me off,” speaking on that, Sydney shared.
Then, she added, “She was like, “I don’t know if you’re going to be able to make it because of your anxiety,” but I was like, just have faith in me. And I got to travel across the world to film a reality show, little to no contact my family, and overcame one of the biggest, you know, obstacles in my life, and faced my anxiety. And so that alone was a big gift to me.”
As for her education, Sydney earned her Southeastern Technical College. Before going to college, Sydney planned on becoming an aesthetic nurse. She has also worked briefly as a photographer in her late teens and early 20s.
