Are Tim Godbee And Alex From Love Is Blind S7 Still Together?
Things are not looking good for Tim Goodbee and Alex from Love Is Blind S7. These two clicked quite quickly in the pods (they joked that their last names were “birds and the bees”) and became close very quickly. While Tim talked about losing his two sisters and his service in the Navy, Alex talked about the health issues facing her parents. There wasn’t a dry eye in the audience when Tim talked about his experience saying goodbye to his oldest sister, who passed away from lupus when she was a teenager.
These two seemed to have a strong connection and were at ease enough to share even the most personal parts of their lives with one another quite quickly. Tim pointed out that in spite of this, they continued to enjoy themselves when they joked around, such as on the date when they painted some uh…interesting pictures. Thus, it should come as no surprise when Tim asks Alex to marry him in episode four, and Alex says yes with tears.
The most dramatic thing that happened when they first met was that Tim was surprised to learn that Alex wore a nose ring, even though he liked it. Even though Alex seemed to find some of Tim’s jokes a touch tiresome, they were joyful and she seemed enchanted by him. They then left for Mexico. After arriving, the couple appeared to be having fun by the pool, cuddling and eating appetizers. Alex acknowledged that she “used to have a really short temper” and became “annoyed” easily during one of their talks. Tim claimed that he was practically the opposite, that when things get heated, he usually settles the dispute without arguing.
When we see Tim and Alex again, it’s obvious that something went badly wrong. It was clear that the couple didn’t spend the night together when she was first seen let him into the room that they were meant to share.
Tim enters the room to find that the two had gotten into a heated quarrel that was not recorded. He explained that after leaving the party as usual, he felt a significant shift in her energy. She clarified that “we all know what happened after that” and that she was just in a terrible mood and wanted to be left alone. What? Tim apologized for pressuring her to tell him what was wrong, and Alex apologized for “covering his mouth” and excluding him, which was a form of explanation for the fight. But it’s obvious that Tim was alarmed.
“I don’t take some of the things that were implied about me and my character lightly,” he stated after first stating, “I don’t argue with people like that.” It transpires that Tim informed Alex the previous evening that he was doubting their relationship before packing up and leaving. “So where does this leave us?” she asked. “I’m not sure,” was his reply. “I will tell you that when I came in here I came with the full intention that this was probably gonna be the last conversation we ever had.”
Alex then hugs him after asking him to “come back,” or in other words, give her another chance. The episode subsequently, naturally, comes to an end.

Tim Godbee is the son of Kimberly Henderson Godbee and Tim Godbee.
When Kimberly turned 60 in April 2024, Tim wished his mom, “Happy 60th Birthday to my Mother, Kimberly Henderson Godbee. I owe everything to the world of love, consistency, and comfort you brought me into. You’ve given me so much more than you could even begin to imagine. I hope so much for this phase of your life to be filled with peace, freedom, and funk. You deserve it. 10 times over.”
Tim has also shared about his dad sharing that his old man hasn’t paid a bill to Tim since he was 18. Growing up he watched his dad “dancing at every concert and volunteering for every band booster duty.” As a young man, it was frustrating.
But, they were never at odds but the selfish part of Tim at one point wished his dad was more like the dads from the movies. He also shared that his dad was a man of “very little words, but you can learn everything about the kind of person to be by watching him.”
More about his family, Tim grew up with a brother and a sister. In the pods during season seven of Love Is Blind, Tim bonded with Alexandra Byrd. He expressed his sadness that his children would never meet their aunts as he shared some of his past with Alexandra. Domonique, his eldest sister, passed away in 2005.
“I’ll never forget the night my oldest sister died,” Tim shared. The Arlington, Virginia, homeowner disclosed to Alexandra that his older sister, Domonique, had received a lupus diagnosis.
“One day she checked into the hospital and never checked out,” Tim continued. “I remember I was at my grandmother’s house, and I was waiting on my parents. I knew she was at the hospital. Then my grandmother told me that one of my cousins was going to pick me up, and I got to the hospital and saw tears in my dad’s eyes. That was my first sign of like, ‘Oh, something’s wrong.’”
Tim remembered how, following Domonique’s passing, his other sister Doriane took her high school class ring. Then he remarked, remembering her, that he still keeps the ring around his neck.
Doriane, Tim’s other sister, founded Brown Beauty Magic, a character and princess agency that catered to all ages and provided appearances at birthday parties and other special occasions in the Augusta, Georgia, region. Although Doriane passed away in May 2023, Tim never gave a reason for her passing. But in a piece about the legacy she left behind, he wrote some kind things about her.
