Tom Prince Cause Of Death
Bodybuilder Tom Prince passed away at the age of 52. Tom’s precise cause of death remains unknown but he was dealing with several health issues. The Sun reported that he battled cancer. He died on 5 February 2022 with his wife by his side.
Following the 1997 NPC National Championships, Tom received his pro card and made his debut for the International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness Promotion in 1999. At the 2001 Night of Champions, he won a bronze medal. However, because of renal problems caused by a congenital blood disorder, the star was forced to retire in 2002.
These health problems were among the reasons why Tom quit body-building sports. 2002 was the last time he had performed on the stage because of the issues with his kidney caused by a genetic blood condition. In his quest to create the ultimate mass monster, Tom pushed his body too far, to the point his kidneys gave up. He needed a kidney transplant and thus his whole bodybuilding journey came to an abrupt halt.
After quitting the sport, Tom went into coaching. Only one or two years into that, he had already started pursuing a career in property management.
As word of Prince’s death spread, tributes from the bodybuilding community came in. Gina Cavaliero, Ms. International 2020 lightweight champion wrote, “So sorry for your loss. RIP Tom.”
Bob Cicherillo said, “He was a champion and one of my closest friends. He’ll always be remembered as a great husband to Bec, father, uncle, brother, and friend. Rest in peace, my brother.”
The news of Tom’s death came just days after the death of Ashley Gearhart.
