The daughter of Dale Holness, Damara was pleaded guilty to “one-count information” charging her with “Lying on a coronavirus relief loan application and fraudulently obtaining hundreds of thousands of dollars intended to help small businesses financially survive the Covid-19 pandemic”.
Reportedly, it was June 2021, when she received a $300,000 Covid relief PPP loan for her company Holness Consulting Inc, saying she had 18 employees and spent an average of $120,000 each month on payroll. But in reality, she didn’t have any employees nor any payroll expenses.
Damara’s sentencing was dated to take place on January 20, 2022, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She could be facing up to 20 years in prison and also a fine of up to $250,000.
However, her’s attorney Sue-Ann Robinson was trying her best to prove her innocence. She also mentioned that Damara’s father Dale had no involvement in this campaign.
