Love Renaissance (LVRN) might be popular as one of the biggest American record label companies but it has had its fair share of notoriety for exploiting aspiring artists. But who are the faces behind the record label? Let’s explore them one at a time
Today, we’ll be talking all about Justice Baiden — LVRN’s co-founder — over this Justice Baiden Wiki.
Meet Justice Baiden, The LVRN Co-Founder
Justice Baiden founded Love Renaissance (LVRN) back in 2012 along with four others, Carlon Ramong, Junia Abaidoo, Sean Famoso McNichol, and Tunde Balogu, whom he met attending Georgia State and Kennesaw State universities.
Initially, the idea to start a record label was born after a mutual friend introduced Justice to Sean. At the time, Justice already had an artist named Raury who he wanted to get off the ground. So, as Sean and Tunde were the guys at school with one foot in the music industry, the trio just clicked right away.
They explained that the “Love Renaissance” concept came from “Justice’s belief that there was just a lack of love, or that the concept of being in love or falling in love just sounded so far gone.” The name emerged from the middle of the “trap epidemic,” wanting to bring a balance to the music industry.
Their first client was Raury. Then they went on to add breaking artists like 6lack, D.R.A.M., Boogie, and Summer Walker, to their roster, giving them immense popularity.
Their only opponent then was Interscope. “Every time that we came out with another artist, Interscope was always in the race — or the bidding war — of wanting to be a part of that artist’s career,” they shared.
So, at a certain point, after they had “enough money in pockets,” they made deal with Interscope.
The label considered Chaka Zulu from DTP, Jeff Dixon, and Paris Kirk to be their mentors.
According to Justice, they have always been an “artist-first” company. Not only commercially, but they also focused on their artists’ mental health and financial literacy.
In Nov 2020, LVRN released its first-ever holiday compilation album “Home for the Holidays” which featured nine tracks from LVRN artists.
