One month before, Suni detailed her experience as the victim of a racially charged attack during a night out with her friends — all of whom were of Asian descent — in Los Angeles. She said that a group of people yelled racist obscenities at her and told her to “get back to where they came from,” and that one of the accused offenders pepper-sprayed her.
