Ashleigh Barty was born to her parents Robert Barty and Josie Barty. Her parents have played a very crucial role in being the Wimbledon star. From getting her the head start at an early age to let her follow her passion, they have supported her every step of the way.
When Ashleigh claimed her Wimbledon title, Rob and Josie were not only applauded for raising an international level star but also instilling good values in her. On the night of her competition, Ash’s parents celebrated quietly.
“We had dinner, watched the game, and then had a glass of champagne to finish,” Robert said. “Or two,” Josie chimed in.
The video of her parents watching her win the championship went viral on Twitter. She’s got two sisters who she is extremely close with and I know facetime them a lot.”

Robert Barty is the proud father of the grand slam champion, Ashleigh Barty. He had never realized how good she was until she took the greatest stage of tennis. Speaking about Ash, Rob shared, “She’s such a lovely girl. She’s a wonderful human being, she cares deeply for her sisters and her mother – she wants to speak to them every day. That makes me so, so proud of her.”

It has been widely shared that Robert Barty worked in the government. Our research revealed he worked as an Executive Manager in Public Library Development. Her sister-in-law ranged her uncle who was the leading coach in Brisbane and they took her to Jim Joyce, Ash’s lifelong coach.
In 2011, when Ash was honored by naming a Tennis Court after her in Springfield Lakes, her mother was tagged on the post.
