Meet Mori, One Of The Contestants On Love Is Blind: Japan
Netflix’s “Love Is Blind” is back but from a different geographical region. Fans get to see singletons from Japan appear on the show to find love without seeing their faces. The show premiered on 8 February 2022. We saw thirteen men looking to find love on Netflix’s new show. The show followed the same format as the original show.

Guiding these singletons were two hosts Takashi Fujii and Yuka Itaya.
The show was filmed in Tokyo and Yomitan. Furthermore, it has been reported in Tokyo the filming was done at Toho Studios where films such as Godzilla. Whereas, in Yomitan, they filmed the show at Hoshinoya Okinawa, at a luxury property.
The first five episodes premiered on 8 February 2022. Then, episodes 6-9 premiered on 15 February. The remaining two episodes 10 and 11 will premiere on 22 February 2022.
Love Is Blind: Mori And Minami’s Relationship
Mori initially had no plans of marriage. But, his friends convinced him to join the Netflix show where he probably would find the right person. He acknowledged that he needs a partner in his life so he tried to be open on the pod to bond with the possible partners. He came looking for a partner who had her own opinions and aspirations, and who is both “flexible and adaptable.”
Among all the others, two women caught his attention, Minami and Ayano. Since Mori and Minami shared Korean heritage, they bonded over that.
Mori kept on bonding their relationship based on that. They discussed raising a family. Plus, Mori believed that Ayano was a bit closed-off so he couldn’t bond with her. He became sure to pursue a relationship with Minami when she exuded her sincerity even if she said/asked things sometimes.
Mori understood Minami is the one for him and proposed to her while promising to be honest with her. He proposed, “I know that I would still be in love with you. Minami, will you marry me?” Minami gladly accepted the proposal.
Love Is Blind: Why Did Mori And Minami Split?
Mori and Minami thought they were the perfect couple for each other. But once they moved into an apartment together the difference began to reveal their differences. Mori perceived Minami as a ‘free spirit like a cat’ who slept longer hours than Mori who woke up early.
Also, Mori disliked how his partner shot down his dreams. But, the relationship and engagement fell apart because of ‘hair’ of all the other things. Minami commented on his hair fall and embarrassed him by asking him to keep it tidy. He cleaned it all up but shared that Minami’s blunt could be often hurtful to other people.
“Right now, I’m working on cleaning up my fallen hair. But I mean, hair falls out,” Mori told her.
They, however, did try to make things work but it didn’t last very long. In episode 8, Mori shared his unwillingness to film for the show with directors. Mori thought it best to end things although Minami did try to work things out between them. They met at a cafe to get closure before going their separate ways.
Mori revealed to Minami, “It’s not the happy ending we hoped for, but I feel like you brought out the best in me. So for my part, I have no regrets.”

Love Is Blind Mori worked as a cosmetic dermatologist. He initially had plans to become a hairstylist but to support his family financially, he chose to become a doctor.
