BBC Three’s new reality show Dubai Hustle premiered on May 23, 2022, and it saw a group of young, driven real estate brokers including Ellie Washington, working with and against each other to sell high-end properties in Dubai. Being in the global ultra-rich, the glamorous UAE city, the competition was definitely filled with leg pulls and egos, but then again this was exactly what the viewers signed up for!
Even our star, Ellie was scrutinized for her work, just in the very first episode.
But, while the show may have its own admirers, The National News definitely had a completely different view about it. They labeled Dubai Hustle as “simply another silly, sensational TV show” — with no apparent reason for existing, beyond offering a vicarious snapshot of the lifestyles of the rich and famous, which appears to be everyone in the emirate if these documentaries are to be taken at face value.
They even compared the show to BBC’s Inside Dubai: Playground of the Rich and Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Dubai, bother of which were denounced locally for offering a twisted vision of supercars, trainers, and environmental destruction.
Joining Ellie for the inaugural season of Dubai Hustle were her co-stars — Azim, Megan Flook, Jess Eaton, Archie Adams, Chris Lock, Ben Greenwood, Lucas Sturman, Adam Kumar, and Jake Matthews-Hubbard.

Ellie Washington garnered a net worth of under $250 thousand by 2022.
But that was mostly from her time as an insurance agent working at Covea Insurance. Initially, she joined the insurance company back in August 2014, as a “motor claims specialist”, and got herself promoted to “custom motor claims team leader” before finally leaving the company in June 2021.
According to her, at Covea Insurance, she was responsible for a claims team of approximately 30 people which included those who have just left school and were completing apprenticeship qualifications. Also, she claimed to have built trust with a vast variety of personalities — as a team and on a one-to-one basis there.
So, having gained a strong background in customer service, Ellie then decided it was time to embark on a new challenge in an industry where these skills were transferrable and joined Haus & Haus in October 2020. And within a short time, she specialized herself in Marina/JBR area, built up a large client base, and garnered tons of 5-star reviews for her works.
“I am trying to click the sixth star. Ellie has been super throughout the process. Fast, easy and effective. She went out of the way to arrange legalization of documents when I was back in Europe and took care of it very smoothly,” a client wrote.
The last we checked, Ellie managed properties in Dubai that ranged anywhere from AED 1 million to AED 10 million. That’s $200 thousand to almost $3 million in USD.
