Trenton Quiocho On Netflix’s Blown Away 3
Ever since its inaugural season in 2019, Blown Away has been the niche for several audiences. And now, as season 3 hit the screen (on July 22, 2022), the fanbase has grown quite a bit, and so have the creations made in the hot shop. This fiery competition has pushed the contestants to their limits as they attempt to become “Best in Glass.”
Trenton Quiocho was one of the 10 participants who joined the popular Netflix show for its 3rd installment. But unlike a few others, Trenton wasn’t there to just sharpen his skills. Rather, this competitive glass blower was set on emerging as the champion and taking home that $60,000 in prizes.
For those who missed the episodes, season 3 was hosted by actor Nick Uhas and art master Katherine Gray. Furthermore, the viewers also got a chance to see new guest judges in every episode who scrutinized the glassblowers and eliminated the least favorite.
This season, the competition was absolutely neck-to-neck. Every challenge put the contestants under sweltering heat through which they had to create the most eye-catching glass shape.
Also, the rest of the contestants joining Trenton this season were — Rob Stern (a glass blower of over 30 years), John Moran (a sculptor and studio owner), Claire Kelly (a storyteller in glass), Maddy Hughes (here to “flex her conceptual muscles”), Dan Friday (an artist and instructor in glass), Brenna Baker (a mother of two), Minhi England (a glass memorial artist), John Sharvin (a free stylist), and Grace Whiteside (a glassblower and performance artist hoping to inspire other non-binary trans people).
