Alone 9 Winner Juan Pablo Quiñonez Wife: Jennifer Ford

Meet Jennifer Ford, alleged wife of Juan Pablo Quiñonez, the winner of History Channel’s Alone 9. During an interview with Distractify about his glorious win, Juan mentioned his partner [Jennifer] in the interview. Jennifer also played an instrumental role in Juan’s strong perseverance.

An interviewer from Distractify asked him to describe the moment when he saw his partner and realization, that he had won.

Juan explained, “You’re so attuned to your environment and your mind [is] playing tricks. But the crew would describe me as a hawk. Like, I would sense all these things. So I kind of sensed that maybe Jennifer was there. … I was trying to control myself and not think about that [I’d just won]. There’s so much pressure because there are all these cameras and yeah, it took a moment [to realize I’d won] and I honestly was a little bit dehydrated that I did not expect the medical check to happen that day at all. So everything was just super, super unexpected”.

So, who is his partner Jennifer Ford? What does she do? Where is she from? You might like to know all the details. This piece attempts to cover it all here.

Meet Jennifer Ford, Alone 9 Winner Juan Pablo Quiñonez Wife

To start with, Juan Pablo Quiñonez is likely not married yet, so he doesn’t have a wife. He has a partner named Jennifer Ford but whether they were romantically linked was unclear. According to Jennifer’s Facebook, she is single. However, the account hasn’t been updated since 2012.

Moreover, there aren’t any legal documents publicly available that proved that the couple is married now.

Before joining the cast of Alone, Juan had spent six months in the wilderness with his partner Jennifer. Moreover, he also foraged to complement their semi-starvation rations; and spent 100 days foraging in solitude during the boreal winter, supported only by small rations. On his blog, Juan revealed that he and Jennifer got their two portage packs, six buckets, and paddling gear inside their canoe and paddled into the boreal forest of Manitoba with the intention of spending half a year there. They began their journey into the wilderness on 18 May 2016.

They had planned the adventure six months before so they have been together at least since 2015.

The couple was featured on CTV News in November 2016. It was after finishing their 6-month trip. “It’s been a dream of mine for years,” said Juan Pablo Quiñonez at the time. “I’ve always wanted to spend a few months in the wilderness living off the land”.

During the trip, hunger wasn’t the only thing they endured. Isolated and alone they were angry at each other during that trip. Jennifer recollected, “We fought. Of course. But we reached a certain point where we said, you know, we’re in this together. We’re a team”.

Additionally, they finished it together. Together, they emerged from the woods with a strong bond and a deep connection to nature, which they are eager to impart to others. To share what they have learned, the pair wants to start a wilderness immersion program for kids.

Before that, Juan had backpacked the entire Pacific Crest Trail (2650 miles) in 99 days and paddled over 1500 miles during numerous whitewater and flatwater trips including the Hayes River to Hudson Bay.
