Kerok and Britney Cruz Alvarado seem to still be together, against all obstacles. The engaged couple met each other in prison at the Department of Corrections Fluvanna Correctional Center for Women. Speaking of their first meeting Britney said excitedly, “I see this short good looking dark-skinned man with a big wide smile walking down. He’s like just wait for me one second one second.”
Kerok told Britney that he found her beautiful. Britney replied, “I’ve heard that before, you know.”
They ended up talking and clicked instantly. At the time, Britney says, “Now I’m actually happy that he is coming home in three months.”
In the first episode, Consquilla, Britney’s employer/mentor, was confused about how they were locked up in the same place. Britney answers, “He is transgender so he was born a female and transitioned to a male.” By the law, he is still imprisoned in a women’s facility.

The viewers also get to meet the beauty institute’s owner Consquilla Carey mentoring her. Britney states in the episode that when she was incarcerated she used to do hair and makeup in the prison.
Consquilla asks Britney, “What’d you do to get into the maximum security?” Britney replies, “Armed robbery.”
The incident happened when she was 18. She helped her then-boyfriend set up for the armed robbery. After three years in prison, she has been out for six months, at the time of filming.
Per the report of River Country News, she was a runaway juvenile who was last seen on September 6, 2018, at approximately 9:30 p.m. and was believed to be traveling in a red Chevrolet pickup. She was 17 years old at the time.
