A female fan of 50 Cent is suing the rapper, claiming that he hit her face with a microphone that he tossed off the stage. Page Six has obtained additional court docs alleging Bryhana Monegain claimed on August 30, 2023, during his show, he threw his microphone into the crowd and struck her in the face and wrist after realizing it wasn’t working properly.
In her lawsuit, the Power 106 host states that she has sustained “severe and permanent injuries.”
According to the documents, Bryhana was treated for a concussion, a laceration on her forehead, and pain in her left wrist after being taken to the hospital from Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. She is asking for compensation for lost wages from the past and future, medical and hospital expenditures, general damages, legal fees, and initial litigation costs.
50 was seen stealing the microphone and throwing it into the crowd in the video of the violent incident. Bryhana later claimed that the gadget struck her squarely in the forehead, causing a horrific injury, even though the footage did not reveal the exact location of impact.
Images that TMZ was able to obtain showed Bryhana covered in gauze to hide the stitches in her forehead. The “Power” actor was included as a suspect in a criminal battery report that the radio presenter had filed with the police.
At the time, TMZ was informed by a person who was close to 50 that Monegain wasn’t supposed to be in the restricted area, however, it wasn’t made clear how this justified his behavior. The rapper from “21 Questions,” according to 50’s lawyer, didn’t “intentionally strike” Bryhana.
“Let’s be very clear, as I told LAPD this afternoon, my client Curtis would never intentionally strike anyone with a microphone,” the lawyer, Scott Leemon, told Page Six. “Anyone saying something different doesn’t have all the facts and is misinformed.”
