The duo then is hired by Lucy Caryle (Ruby Stokes) — a talented teen with psychic abilities that help her connect with ghosts — and the trio soon become friends.
Previously, Lucy was forcibly admitted to an agency by her mother. After a mission, she then he ends up being the sole survivor, and her supervisor blames her. Natally, Lucy runs away from home and ends up in London, and meets Anthony and George.
The trio sure does remind us of Harry, Hermione, and Ron from Harry Potter.
So, the theme for season 1 is that the ghost hunters are up against a frightening supernatural phenomenon called “The Problem” — a situation where a mere touch of these ghosts can leave you dead.
Thus, Lockwood & Co trained young adults to fight the paranormal forces with iron and silver chains, silver nets, rapiers, and other equipment. They especially pick teenagers who are attuned to their senses of sight, touch, and listening as they have a better chance of detecting and defeating ghosts.
As for the supervisor, the young ones are trained by adult ghost hunters.
The show mentions two types of ghosts — Type-one (the typical low-risk ones) and type-two ghosts (scarier and have more power to cause death). But there are also type-three ghosts consisting of paranormal figures who refuse to go beyond the land of the living.

Before landing a role on the Netflix show, Cameron was in his final year at drama school. He had just signed with his agent and was starting to get into the process of auditions. Later, he graduated with a BA (Hons) in Acting from the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama in 2021.
