TLC’s Crack Addicts isn’t what it sounds like. The show follows chiropractor Alessandra Colon as she and her staff approach some of the most extreme and debilitating issues with one-of-a-kind, groundbreaking methods.

In the premiere ep, Alessandra had an appointment with Brenda, and as she was clicking her back, the patient farted straight into her face! But like a true professional, she took the incident in light spirits and said, “I was not expecting her to fart in my face, but I was gonna take one for the team.”
Obviously, the patient, who was giggling frantically, apologized for letting the air out.

Alessandra was diagnosed with Stage 4 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma cancer when she was 14 — with only a 14% chance to survive. “The worst part most would think was the chemo and radiation, but I never looked at it that way. Sure, it’s no fun to be near death every day. I mostly just worried about my family,” she said.
But she never lost hope. She completed high school, graduated from the University of Arizona in 2004, and earned her Doctor of Chiropractic from Palmer Chiropractic of Florida in 2012. Now, she’s a reputed chiropractor.
“I made a choice right then and there to either let the bad things in my life take hold or to overcome them,” she said. “It was the first time I knew fear was a matter of perspective and that my future moving forward was a choice. This paved way for the doctor I am today.”

Talking about her sibling, her 4-year-older brother, Daniel Colon is an artist. He studied art history at Hunter College and painting at the Maryland Institute College of Art and Art Students League of New York. Now, he’s a Storyboard Artist at Boards In Motion Inc.

Recalling her wedding, Alessandra said that it was “a PERFECT wedding. The only thing that could have made it better was if god could have given me 40 hours in a day. So the moment could last longer….”
The love they share is unconditional. “I love him just the way he is. He’s always there to support my dreams, make dinner if I can’t, or help me with my constant ever-increasing list,” Alessandra said.
Together, Alessandra and David share two kids — Aiden David Lauck and Ryann. They arrived in this world on November 23, 2022, and August 2, 2012, respectively.
As per Alessandra, Aiden’s the “sweetest boy, barely a fuss with the cutest little squeals and squeaks” while Ryann’s a “crazy, cool, fun, and sweet,” girl.
This family of four had their first family trip to Puerto Rico in May 2023.
