Controversial Netflix “Docu-Soap” Byron Baes showcased the lives of young business individuals, models, entrepreneurs, and many more. One of the contestants on the show was Alex Reid who was in his pursuit of becoming the next Kyle Sandilands, his former boss.
The show is based in New South Wales town in Australia. The show although new has drawn some criticism already from Byron Bay’s mayor Simon Richardson who labeled the show “offensive to the society”.

Daily Mail had reported that Netflix was forced to apologize to show stars after painting them as ‘influencers’ and ‘hot Instagrammers’. Netflix’s Director of Originals in Australia Que Minh Luu confirmed the cast “hated” press release describing the series then. He added, “They are artists, musicians, entrepreneurs, business owners, models, on a spiritual journey, and more. Most of them hated the press release too! Did a lot of apologizing that week. Fired the PR team (lol joking about the firing, we’re all learning together).’
However, that isn’t the only drama. The backlash from local residents and indigenous leaders also attracted the attention of the show. As reported, Netflix offered to pay donations to Byron Bays’ traditional owners but they rejected it.
However, inside the show, Alex fought with Jade Foster which almost broke the team-up.
