Actor Simu Liu and his girlfriend Allison Hsu have gone public with their relationship. They went Instagram-official over the weekend, sharing a pic of the two cozied up in festive sweaters. In the photo, Simu can be seen smiling with an arm around Allison, while wearing a bright multicolored Christmas sweater with a martini glass and Yin-Yang motifs. He completed the look with white jeans.
Along with the pic, Simu made a funny caption writing: “pictured: two Asians in front of Santa’s crotch”.
Fans and friends soon hopped on the comment section and congratulated the newly confirmed couple. One joked: “Does this mean now we aren’t together?” Another added, “You told me you’re just going to Target!!” While this is the couple’s picture on Simu’s social, almost two weeks before, his girlfriend Allison had posted a pic of the two.
The photo was taken at a Blackpink concert via her own Instagram, which confirmed their relationship. In the adorable photo, the Marvel actor was seen hugging Hsu from behind and wrapping his arm around her as they both grinned for the camera.
Simu was previously dating actress Jade Bender. They appeared publicly together as a couple at their red carpet debut at the 2022 ESPYs in July. Despite a number of public appearances, Liu admitted he was single in September at the tech conference Dreamforce, according to SFGate.com.
He also referenced a breakup during a question-and-answer segment.
“I experienced moments where I’m living my dream and it didn’t quite feel like I was where I needed to be with myself,” he told his fan. “I’m also going through a breakup. That’s probably also contributing to it, but that’s OK. I’ll be OK.”
