Home Work: Are Andy Meredith And His Wife Frauds?
Andy Meredith and his wife Candis Meredith are famous for their home renovation show ‘Home Work’. In the show, they turn an old school into their family home. The show documents the married couple’s work on their home project as well as helping others with home renovations.
However, the Utah-based home renovators are facing accusations of incomplete work, unsafe conditions, and a lack of communications on their former Magnolia Network show. Because of the accusations, Magnolia Network has pulled the show from Discovery Plus’ streaming platform and the cable network.
As the story goes, Joanna Gaines, host of ‘Upper Fixer’ DMed the joint IG account of Andy and Candis Meredith in 2021. She spoke to them and showed interest to film the renovation process for their latest project. Joanna mentioned to them that she loved the idea of turning the school into a home and the show became ‘Home Work’ which was set to premiere in January 2022.
However, on 7 January 2022, The Magnolia Network released a statement to People Magazine that they scrapped the show from Discovery Plus. Allison Page, the network’s president spoke, “Magnolia Network is aware that certain homeowners have expressed concerns about renovation projects undertaken by Candis and Andy Meredith.”
She added further, “Within the last few days, we have learned additional information about the scope of these issues, and we have decided to remove ‘Home Work’ from the Magnolia Network line up pending a review of the claims that have been made.
One particular homeowner from Utah wrote a behemoth of posts who shared on her IG that Merediths in 2019 had promised the kitchen renovation for $20,000 in three weeks. But, then they shared that they would charge an extra $5000 making it a total of $25,000 in the first week.
The renovation process took them five months and the homeowner spent nearly $39,000 fixing issues created during the renovation. Then, other clients of Merediths came forwards with similar issues. However, Merediths on 7 January 2022 released an official statement where they addressed the criticism.
The post read, “We’ve seen stories that have [sic] been circulating, and although we cannot speak for anyone but ourselves, we can say that we have always tried to give everything we have to make anyone we work with happy.” They ended the post, “We ask that these threats and piling on without the full story stop … So many believe that we are frauds, have hurt people intentionally and that we are not who we say we are. That is simply not true”.

But over that, the same thing turned into a negative and something she allegedly resented him for that. He felt like, with his ex-wife, he never got to become who he was. And after finally decided to part way with her.
But, the surprising fact is that Andy Meredith and his first wife and Candis Meredith and her ex-husband were couple friends. It was Candis’s ex-husband who came with the news of their divorce before Andy had contemplated getting one himself. After the divorce from his ex-wife, Andy and Candis started dating shortly after because they believed that either way people were going to see them as villains so why waste a year waiting for it to happen.
