Up-and-coming actress Antonyah Allen is appearing on The Chi as a guest star. The Chi, a hit drama series, returned to Showtime for season 5. The show followed a community on the south side of Chicago.
Showtime calls The Chi “a timely coming-of-age story centering on a group of residents on the South Side of Chicago who becomes linked by coincidence but bonded by the need for connection and redemption”.
According to Showtime, season 5 focuses on Black love. As Tiff becomes closer to Rob, Emmett and Tiff build a new route in their relationship. Jake and Jemma adjust to life as a couple while Kevin stumbles upon love in the most unexpected place. Papa finds himself somewhat on the outside looking in now that his boys are in relationships, but he still knows how to get into trouble. While Nina and Dre collaborate to encourage Lynae, Kiesha takes care of baby Ronnie. While Douda plans a return, Jada evaluates her life after cancer, and Trig mulls a run for office.

Antonyah A. Allen is playing the role of Simone in season 5 of The Chi. She is Kevin’s (Alex Hibbert) new classmate who is creative but introverted. She challenges him constantly and opens his mind to new experiences.
