So, there is this new show on TLC and Discovery+ called MILF Manor. It premiered on 15 January 2023 and it follows a group of eight confident and strong-minded women, AKA “MIFLS”, looking to find love in a paradise-like destination. These women between 40 and 60 are after love and romance rather than simply a good fling. One of these show’s ladies was April Jayne. Who Was April Jayne’s Late Fiance?
April Jayne was headed for the aisle but tragically lost her fiancé just a year before she decide to be a part of this MILF project. So, when she was first to arrive at the villa, she said she has not dated since then.
April’s late fiancé was David Henderson of Carstairs, Alberta. And the two had gotten engaged on 16 November 2020. David was a great believer in one’s need for staying in their own lane. Also, he quoted on his Facebook about no good deeds going unpunished.
Before he passed away, David was the owner of Henderson Construction, and before that, he had studied Animal Husbandry at Olds College.
April, she said, got to spend close to three years with “this beautiful hunk of an angel”. And in those times, Angel gushed, how he showed her what real love is and set the bar. She shared later in an IG post how they traveled everywhere and had so many fabulous adventures, how they sang, danced, and laughed constantly.
In this heart-wrenching tribute to David, April also praised him for being the best father for his son and daughter, Morgan and Bailey, and for also being a role model for her own boys too.
When she arrived at MILF Manor though, she looked more relaxed and healed from the tragedy. She seemed excited to get to know some of the single men. She was also particularly seen sizing up fellow contestant Pola, a 48-year-old gym owner, in the first episode.

April Jayne was once married to American actor/musician William Jayne Jacoby, known professionally as Billy Jayne or Billy Jacoby. While we don’t know when the two got married, they parted ways in 2003. They are said to have divorced after a few years of their marriage.

April’s mom, Gwen Wayne, seemed to have turned 80 in August 2022. A couple of years back, it was for her that April had organized a fundraiser. Gwen had at the time received a healthy kidney, and had successful transplant surgery after four long years of waiting. And April had promised that with the fund collected, they are helping her with a lot of additional expenses that could not be covered by her insurance.
April’s family also includes her not anymore “little” little brother Brandon Lipscomb and her uncle Randy “HandyRandy” Lipscomb.
