MAFS UK’s new season is back for 2023, and one contestant Arthur Poremba travels all over the world as a tennis coach and works alongside some of the sport’s most successful players.
Keen to commit to a meaningful relationship, Arthur says: “I’m ready to find the love of my life”. He’s hopeful the experiment can help him find the fairytale relationship he’s always dreamed of.
The tennis coach raised some questions when, despite never having met Laura once, he copied the Google-generated vows that ended with “I love you.” Although fans of X, formerly known as Twitter, called Arthur’s romantic declaration “cringe,” Arthur has stated that he still stands by it.
Arthur said: “Maybe a little bit but then again how do you pick the words for somebody you’ve never met before? I was moving houses as well at the same time so I didn’t have time to sit down and think of how I felt. There’s nothing I can change now, I have no regrets.”
MAFS UK 2023: Are Arthur Poremba And Laura Still Together?
After referring to Laura Vaughan as his “wife,” Arthur Poremba of Married at First Sight has given some indication that they are still together.
After the episode saw Laura talk to Luke in order to defend herself, Arthur took to Instagram where he praised his wife for how she handled the situation.
The London-based tennis coach wrote: “Hard watch for me tonight not gonna lie, well done to my wife Laura for defending herself and our marriage, gutted I wasn’t there by her side. Laura has NEVER mentioned anything about MONEY or that she’s looking for someone to support her financially so let’s just get this out of the way please.”
The statement suggested that they might still be together.
In MAFS UK, Laura got close to Arthur Poremba, who was born in Poland and came to England at age 16. They had a rocky start and Laura shared, “The first episode was a really tough watch for me. There is so much that you don’t see – you only see about four percent of the day,’ she acknowledges. And while Laura can’t be the bearer of spoilers, she is full of praise for Arthur and the bond they developed.”
“I think you’ll see that I champion him and his incredible backstory,” she reveals. “He always joked that if he could have employed me to be around for his entire life since he moved to England, he would have done so.”
Laura confronted her groom during Wednesday’s episode. Even though he had only met Laura moments earlier, Arthur made Laura and her companions cringe when he declared his love for her at the conclusion of his vows. Laura decided to confront her thoughts by asking her husband about his vows before admitting she knew he hadn’t written them.
Arthur admitted: ‘That’s the perfect example of me trying to be someone I’m not.’
Laura is overcome with emotion as the second commitment ceremony on Married at First Sight UK begins as she recalls Luke calling her a “gold digger”.
Laura shut him down and said: “I have never once in my life needed a man to pay for anything. It was f***ing painful to hear when I have actually been used in the past for that myself. I actually paid for my last wedding, so if I am a gold digger then I am definitely doing it wrong.”
