Audrey Peters started her TikTok in 2020 right before the pandemic because she was addicted to Vine. She worked for Harper’s Bazaar working in fashion for a year before turning into a full-time content creator. Before that, she had her own fashion blog in high school where she posted pictures of herself in different outfits. However, she was bullied a lot for that. She continued till college but the criticism got to her and she decided that she was over it.
Her first video on TikTok that went viral was “what your favorite designer says about you.” The video went viral overnight and got over 2 million views and earned her 10K followers on the platform. However, she decided to take down the video, because she discussed fashion brands.
However, she chose to stick with the format and started creating content that evolved later. At the time of this article, she has 671K followers on TikTok.
In an interview with Enter The Verse, she added that getting a job after college was a huge struggle for her.
Audrey explained, “If you’re not in finance or real estate, you’re not signing a contract the year before and showing up in August when the summer is over. If somebody’s hiring in journalism, fashion, or PR, you’re interviewing and then two weeks later, you’re meant to start. They would never hire somebody a year in advance. All my friends got their jobs in finance and real estate and consulting, and they all knew exactly what they were doing at the end of summer.”
She added, “And summer rolled around and I was the only friend that was in a more creative industry, so I started to apply and it’s going to be a total shot in the dark as to whether or not they hire me. And there’s really only a few hiring seasons throughout the year, which you also don’t realize when you’re in college.”
Audrey Peters completed her college education at George Washington University. She graduated in 2019.
About her future goals, Audrey explained, “I’d absolutely love to be more integrated into the high fashion community. I’ve just entered the fashion community so I know it’ll take time, but it’s always been a dream of mine since I was a little girl to sit front row at Paris Fashion Week. One day.”
