Becca Haley is a 30-something natural light photographer making her way through life in the city of Denver and the suburbs of Chicago with a camera and a serious love for 90’s music, and also her clients, pizza, and her “badass” team of all-women photographers. In Married At First Sight Season 17, Becca Haley was matched with Austin Reed. Together, they were to set on an 8-week social experiment that involved them getting married, going on a honeymoon, and living together.
Becca had enlisted the help of experts, matchmakers, and pastors of MAFS in search of a “typical” Colorado man. Unlike the famous runaway bride of this season (Chloe Brown), Becca came on the show aware of the inherent risk involved in finding a match on reality shows. She said, she anyway applied for the series in a feat to discover the endless love and passion she has often seen between other couples. She especially could not ignore the magic of marriage harmony because of her job as a wedding photographer.
MAFS Denver: Are Austin Reed And Becca Haley Still Married?
Once the experimentation of MAFS started, both Becca Haley and Austin Reed seemed to have high expectations from each other. And though they appeared to have quite different personalities they also looked determined that they could work on them together.
Becca during one scene spoke that she wanted somebody from Colorado only. While Austin was shown voicing that if the social experiment worked, that would be the ultimate meet-cute ever. As the show progressed, these two told their parents and friends about it and had their bachelor and bachelorette parties. Austin refused to let the strippers dance on him and Becca also refused the male strippers at her party making people think that they may have the same values. So, on paper, these two seemed to prefer the same things. However, later as they faced each other in reality, they went through a rough start despite having had many talks of sharing common interests and viewpoints. Their initial awkward conversation even made the guest commentators wonder if the pair might have a chance at a future together.
But then, even afterward, Becca and her groom continued to explore the heights of their relationship. Not only did they show them being committed to bringing out their authentic selves, but they were also wishful to find an opportunity to discover their compatibility.
Having said that, their status of marriage was unknown as of 2023. Clearly, both of them were not yet allowed to speak of it on social media and other platforms.
