Brad Douthit was 53 years of age in 2021. He celebrates his birthday on December 12 and is of the Sagittarius zodiac.
On Brad’s 51st birthday, Angie made her last wish to him over FB posting a picture of him with a giant catfish, followed by a long caption. To summarize, she started with how proudly her husband sported “a crooked hat” over the picture, and went on to add how much he meant to her.
“He’s truly a wonderful man and I fully believe that God created him for me and me for him. I can’t imagine anyone else being able to handle the journey we’ve been handed, the way Brad has,” a phrase wrote.
No wonder, Brad felt Angie’s absence harder than the others.
All the time, Brad has openly grieved the loss of his wife on the show. Also, in May 2020, he took it to his IG to reminisce the moments with his wife.
Brad Douthit Wife And Kids
If you are new to 16 & Pregnant, Brad Douthit’s wife Angela Ruth lost her 2-year-long battle with cancer in December 2019 (at the age of 50). She was almost two years younger than Brad.
The two were married back in 1987, right after Angela Ruth graduated from Miami High School. Then, the pair went on to have 4 kids together — a son named Zeke, and 3 daughters Whitney, Kaylee, and Mackenzie McKee.
Also, they went on to add two new members to the family — their adopted son Michael Williams Douthit, and adopted daughter Christine Lovell.

Zeke Douthit: He lived in Miami, Oklahoma with his wife Jordan Douthit and their beautiful daughter. Graduated from Miami High School, Zeke straight went to work at Five Alarm Athletics.
Whitney Osborn: Also, she lived in Miami, Oklahoma with her husband Tim Osborn and their kids.
Kaylee Kristann Taylor: She went on to marry Corbett Taylor, and together they had 4 kids.
Christine Lovell: Not much was known about her, except for the fact that she hadn’t left her hometown as of 2021.
Unfortunately, Michael passed suffered from down syndrome and passed away when he was 55 years old from a blood clot. According to Mackenzie, she was 11 at the time. Her brother was adopted when he was 37 old after his parents passed away. Even before Mackenzie was born. She recalled him as “a huge blessing in (her) life.”
All thanks to the kids, Brad now is also a grandfather of 10 — Gannon McKee, Melody Taylor, Jaxie McKee, Harmony Taylor, Jayvn Osborn, Broncs McKee, Serenade Taylor, Zayleigh Douthit, Judah Osborn, and Lyra Taylor.
And he was close to all of them.
After Angie’s death, Brad even asked Mackenzie to allow him to have her son, Jaxie, go home to Oklahoma with him. But it didn’t seem like Jaxie lived with Brad as of 2021.
Brad Douthit Heart Surgery: Is Mackenzie McKee Dad Okay?
No, Brad Douthit wasn’t doing so well as of 2021.
After his heart surgery in 2020, Brad started to face several health issues and struggled in his recovery. According to Mackenzie’s aunt, he was back in the hospital and in a lot of pain.
“Brad is having a procedure done today to find out what kind of infection he has developed,” she wrote at the time.
Also, she added, “Surgeon said he has never seen anything like the pain he is having in head & neck. It is almost like something is broken up there. He has said that is what it feels like, his collar bone is broken.”
And because of this, Mackenzie’s plan to move to Florida for a new job opportunity also was postponed. It was Whitney who suggest Mackenzie stay in Oklahoma for a little while longer to take care of their father. She even noted that Mackenzie, who has Type 1 diabetes, would be more qualified to take care of their father, who also has Type 1 diabetes.
