The mother suspected of killing her three children before taking her own life in Verdigris, Oklahoma, has been identified as Brandy McCaslin. The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation and Brandy’s online acquaintances both published her identity in a statement.
Officers from the Verdigris Police Department “noticed fireworks erupting outside a home near East Dogwood Court and Cypress Street” on the afternoon of July 20, 2023. An armed and barricaded lady was found inside the house when officers went to investigate, according to a news release from the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.
“Negotiations quickly began, as they worked to make contact with 39-year-old Brandy McCaslin. A stand-off ensued for the next three hours. After no response, officers made entry into the home where they found McCaslin, along with her three children, dead inside.”
The statement continued: “The children included a 10-month-old as well as a six and 11-year-old. It was determined that McCaslin shot all three kids and then turned the weapon on herself.”
After a second lady called a Verdigris patrol officer and claimed to be the first woman’s hostage, the case developed.
The Daily Mail claimed that the deadly event took place close to Cypress Street and Dogwood Court, citing the Rogers County Sheriff’s Department. According to reports, the second woman allegedly told the police that Brandy McCaslin, the first woman, had held her and her children in a garage. The alleged victim reportedly revealed that Brandy had a firearm in his possession. She was saved, nevertheless, before police could request assistance from further policemen.
However, she was pictured smiling while posing with her kids and an elderly person in an old GoFundMe. The fundraiser was about getting monetary help to “keep the house on behalf of Brandy Mccaslin”. It said, “My friend moved into her grandparents’ home because their health has declined majorly. She didn’t know at the time that they let the house payments lapse. Now they’re getting close to foreclosure because of it.”
The message on the page continued, “Her Papaw passed in January. She claims SSI so she’s limited on her allowance. When it rains it pours. She just left a mentally/verbally abusive relationship and the wife and I have been staying here to help take care of things and help her back on her feet. It’s the best we can do. We don’t have money to help,” before adding, “Please help them out. She’s got 3 kids and her Mamaw to care for still and she is so worried about losing the house.”
Brandy had recently posted pictures of her two kids in February 2023. She wrote, “The best big sister in the world!! He just snuggled in tight and slept in her arms.”
Brandy McCaslin Baby Father
One of Brandy McCaslin’s baby fathers is Billy Jacobson, the father of Brandy’s youngest son Billy. After his son’s death, Billy posted on Facebook, “Please keep us in your prayers. Brandy McCaslin did a murder-suicide with all three kids. Billy, Noe, Bryce, and Brandy have all passed.“
Moreover, he recently took to his Facebook and wrote, “There’s something I want everyone to be clear about. When Brandy McCaslin tried to commit suicide in January.”
“She tried to change my son’s name because she was mad at me because I wasn’t coming back to her. His name was Billy from day one. I never stopped calling him anything but that and it was wrong of her to do so. Out of respect to me and my son, who had no choice in the loss of his life due to his mother. Please do not refer to my child as anything but Billy. He deserves that.”
Billy is based in Claremore, Oklahoma. He is in a relationship with Camron Fennell. He is the owner of Jacobson Carpentry and has “20 years experience and can fix or build almost anything floor to ceiling.”
Heavy reported that another of the Children’s Father wrote an emotional post slamming Brandy on their Facebook. He wrote, “Brandy McCaslin was a worthless piece of garbage. What a coward to kill innocent babies?! Couldn’t let my brother see his son cause he was dangerous but you were always the dangerous one. He loved that boy more than himself ever.”
He added, “At least my nephew is in a much better place than with your worthless sh**** self. You were never good enough for my brother. I just wish you could see this now or I would have done something to protect him from you. I hope you rot in hell forever.”
