Did Brooke Katz Leave CBS 11 News Dallas?
CBS 11 News in Dallas, Texas, no longer employs Brooke Katz as a news anchor. Viewers in the Dallas region observed that when they tune into the News 11 program, Brooke—who moved from the afternoon to the morning news program in 2022—is not present at all. If you go to the CBS 11 News Dallas website, the bio of veteran anchor Brooke Katz is no longer visible.
According to FTV Live, Brooke and the channel had not disclosed a cause for the split as of the time of writing.
Brooke joined CBS 11 as an anchor and reporter. She began at KTVT anchoring Saturday evenings and general assignment reporting throughout the week. She went on to anchor the 4 pm newscast M-F while also turning two pieces each week for a health franchise.
In January 2022, Brooke became the Morning News Anchor. She anchored three hours of morning news M-F. She also focused on creating health content for all newscasts and platforms. In addition, she created, produced, and anchored a half-hour health newscast that aired once per week.

Brooke Katz Career
Before Brooke Katz began her career as a TV reporter and anchor she worked in different fields. She was a personal trainer at East Shore Athletic Club from 1999 to 2003.
From 2003 to 2005, she was also an actor at SHADES stands for Student Health Advocates Developing Educational Scenarios. They were paid to write, direct, and perform their own scenes for students as well as outside organizations. All scenes dealt with topics that can be somewhat controversial. After the performance, there would be a question and answer period, that usually sparked a debate, with our audience.
In 2007, Brooke joined WCBD-TV as a Sales Development Coordinator. Her goal was to “assist the sales team in showcasing the station’s wins! I developed one-sheets and created documents for book breakout sessions.” After quitting her job in November 2010, she joined WHAS-TV as an Anchor/Traffic Anchor/Reporter.
After leaving the station, Brooke joined WCNC-TV as an Anchor/Reporter/Traffic Reporter.
Her gig at WCNC-TV ended in July 2019. She joined KTVT CBS DFW, her current station.

Dan has been working as a News Director at WSMV since December 2021. He has worked in companies such as WAVE 3 News, WSAZ-TV, WLNE-TV abc6.com, WCBD-TV, and counton2.com among a few stations.
Dan is a graduate of The Ohio State University.

Brooke Katz is the daughter of Barry Teeter and Terri Bell.
Her father is no more. Brooke lost her dad in 2006. She wrote in 2014, “It’s the first time in a long time I’ve felt that old familiar ache of his absence. Remember to hold tight to the ones you love and cherish the memories of the ones you’ve lost.”
Barry likely passed away from addiction. In 2017, she added, “Addiction is a terrible disease. It brings heartbreak to so many families. Almost equally as heartbreaking – the stigma and shame associated with the disease. Please- don’t be ashamed or too proud to ask for help. Don’t be ashamed of needing it. The people who truly love you will always be there for you. The rest? Who cares!?! Don’t be afraid to talk about it! The stigma has got to go people. Brooke’s mother, meanwhile, Terri Bell passed away on 22 August 2020. Terri was born on November 30, 1954, to Jesse Willard Scott and Sybil Channel. She was a hard worker in the cotton fields of Holland, Missouri, growing up, always wanting more for her family. After getting married to Aubrey Bell in 1995, Terri relocated to Charleston, South Carolina. After starting a lucrative career in radio sales, she went on to launch TRW of Charleston, an advertising agency.
Terri’s husband Aubrey is 73 as of 2023. He studied at Lyon College and is currently single.
Brooke has one brother named Scott Teeter. Scott was a former Fire Controlman at USS FIFE DD991. He was a Fire Controlman at USS Conolly (DD-979). He resides in Lees Summit, Missouri.
