The family has recently released a statement addressing the heinous murder of four students. It reads, “First and foremost we care deeply for the four families who have lost their precious children. There are no words that can adequately express the sadness we feel, and we pray each day for them. We will continue to let the legal process unfold and as a family, we will love and support our son and brother.”
The family’s statement concluded, “We have fully cooperated with law enforcement agencies in an attempt to seek the truth and promote his presumption of innocence rather than judge unknown facts and make erroneous assumptions. We respect privacy in this matter as our family and the families suffering a loss can move forward through the legal process.”
The statement was released by Kohberger’s counsel, Jason A. LaBar, the chief public defender of Monroe County, Pennsylvania, on behalf of the Kohbergers.
Four University of Idaho students were killed, and Philadelphia resident Bryan Christopher Kohberger has been detained as a suspect in the case. Bryan, a 28-year-old Pennsylvanian, was taken into custody on Friday in Monroe County. According to the criminal complaint, the Moscow, Idaho Police Department, and the Latah County Prosecutor’s Office issued the active arrest warrant for the first-degree murder allegations.
The sources told CNN that an FBI surveillance team had been keeping an eye on the suspect near the scene of his arrest for a number of days. A law enforcement source said that Bryan took the Elantra across the country and arrived at his parents’ house in Pennsylvania just before Christmas. The law enforcement source claimed that agents followed Kohberger throughout the nation and kept a close check on his parents’ house.

Amanda M Kohberger is the oldest sister of Bryan Christopher Kohberger. She was born in March 1988 which makes her 34 years old.
By profession, Amanda is working as a licensed school counselor and school-based outpatient therapist in the state of Pennsylvania, and a registered behavior technician. She has more than 10 years of experience. Amanda is a 2018 graduate of Lehigh University.

Bryan Christopher Kohberger’s other sister is Melissa Kohberger. She is currently 31 years old. In the letter, MaryAnn revealed that Melissa, Bryan’s sister, worked as mental health therapist in New Jersey. She specializes in ADHD, Anxiety, Trauma, Work Stress, Emotion Regulation, and Career Counseling. She is working at Resilience Lab since 2022 and graduated from Centenary University.
According to psychology today, Melissa charges $100 – $150 cost per session.
Melissa had written a poem about Uvalde, MaryAnn Kohberger wrote in the letter to the editor, sharing the poem:

“As I read the poem, I thought, whatever the solution, I pray we consider the children before the gun,” the poem reads.
