Cassidy Timbrooks was born to her father Tyrus Gordon Timbrooks and her mother Marilee Timbrooks.
Tyrus was born in Mesa who graduated from Corona del Sol High School in 1980. Tyrus enlisted in the Air Force in 1983 and served for nine years. He went to Heavy Weapons training and became a security specialist during his stint in the military. He was a Security Forces Augmentee team leader in Panama in 1988-89, supporting the Just Cause campaign. Cassidy’s father also worked at Nellis AFB in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the Nuclear Weapons Storage Area.
Moreover, Tyrus began his career in education as a 3rd-grade teacher for the Clark County School District after graduating from the University of Las Vegas. He continued his career in education in Scottsdale, AZ, as a high school teacher, Assistant Principal at Arcadia High School, and Principal at Saguaro High School, before transferring to the Dysart School District, where he taught middle school math for two years and served as the Athletic Director and Assistant Principal at Dysart High School for 12 years. He will leave the teaching profession in September 2020.
