Chef Tafari Campbell is no more. Formerly a White House chef, he was working for the Obama family before he was found dead on 24 July 2023, in a pond on the south shore of Martha’s Vineyard. 45-year-old Tafari was employed by former President Obama and was visiting Martha’s Vineyard at the time of his passing.
Tafari was reported missing a day early in the evening after going paddleboarding.
At the time of this writing, police were still investigating the death. Meanwhile, Barack and Michelle Obama had already addressed the matter in a joint statement emailed to CNN. They gushed about Tafari being a beloved part of their family and whatnot. “Today we join everyone who knew and loved Tafari – especially his wife Sherise and their twin boys, Xavier and Savin – in grieving the loss of a truly wonderful man”, they also added to the statement.
