The family of Nick Nemeroff confirmed his “sudden passing”. The cause of his death is yet to release. They released an official statement via Nick’s IG account.
The statement read, “It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved brother Nick Nemeroff. Nick’s dedication to standup comedy was formidable, and produced amazing results”.
It continued further, “He drew acclaim in Canada and the US, becoming both a ‘comic’s comic’ and a hit with crowds who were enamoured by his unique cadence, labyrinthine deadpan, and fresh take on misdirection-driven comedy.”
Furthermore, the statement ended, “If Nick was on a comedy show, he was guaranteed to leave with new fans. And he deserved to, because comedy was, in many ways, his life. Endlessly sweet, supportive of others, humble about his many skills and achievements, Nick lived his life doing what he loved, and that is how he will be remembered. RIP Nick. We love you”.
After Nick’s death, his sister Davida posted on her IG, “To know me is to know how much I love my little brother Nick. He was everything to me. A gentle giant and comedic genius who was inexplicably taken from us far too soon. I am gutted beyond belief.”
Moreover, she added, “The last 3 days have been a fucking nightmare that I can’t wake up from. The only saving grace is knowing how much he was loved by others and that our family is not grieving alone. If you don’t know his work, do yourself a favor and look it up.”
Davida concluded, “A rare gem in a world of rocks. Nick, you are my hero, I will love you forever and ever and laugh with you through the years of tears ahead. Heartbroken for the rest of my life. RIP Nick.”

Joanne is a board member of Groupe Marcelle since September 2018. She has also been serving as a Member of the Board of Directors at Weizmann Canada since 2010.
Joanne holds PPCC from Concordia University and BA from McGill University.
As for his father, Howard is an attorney who specializes in designing and implementing tax plans for commercial and personal transactions as well as estates. He has extensive experience in tax law, corporate and commercial law, contracts, offshore structures, wills trusts, cross-border transactions, and the like.
Howard was born and raised in Montreal. He attended McGill University, obtaining a Bachelor of Sciences Degree in 1970 and then his law degree in 1973. Howard Nemeroff earned his place in Bar in 1974.
He is the Vice-President of the Canadian Deafness Research and Training Institute and was Vice President of Temple Emanu-El Beth Sholom from 1995 to1997.
In addition, Howard is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, the Barreau du Québec, the Canadian Tax Foundation, the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, the International Fiscal Association, the Association Quebecoise de planification fiscale et successorale, the Estate and Financial Council of Montreal and the Lord Reading Law Society in which he has been a director since 1985 and was the membership chairman from 1986 to 1992.
