Darcell Smith and Jamika Pessoa first met each other back in the ’90s. But they didn’t immediately connect. It took a decade and a New Year’s Eve party for the couple to fall for each other.
Reportedly, Darcell claimed that they stayed in a relationship since July 4, 2007.
Fast forward to 2010, the pair then got married on the island of Barbados. And following their beach ceremony, the love birds drove to Almond Beach Village Resort in Barbados for their honeymoon.
“My wedding day was magical,” Jamika recalled the day.
As of 2021, the pair were still together and resided in Atlanta with their two kids.
Their eldest, Sasha turned 5 in September 2021, and she had already graduated pre-school. “Our babies aren’t babies anymore. If I’m this emotional for Sasha’s preschool graduation, I know I’m going to be a wreck when she graduates high school,” Jamika wrote over IG on her daughter’s graduation day.
