RuPaul’s Drag Race returned for season 15 and on a new network MTV. This season fans of the award-winning show will be meeting 16 queens. January 6 sees the premiere of a two-part series. The official Emmy-winning show, RuPaul’s Drag Race: Untucked, will debut right after on MTV. With the exception of the twins, the season 15 cast consists of a diverse group of queens, including the drag sister of season 14 finalist Bosco and the drag daughter of season 14 star Kerri Colby.

When Aura saw Manila Luzon compete in Season 3, it gave her the idea to start doing drag. After Aura Eternal from the second season of Drag Race Italia, Aura Mayari is the second competitor in the Drag Race franchise to bear the moniker “Aura.” When Aura initially started doing drag, she briefly went by the moniker “Courtney Slays” because club owners and managers approached her and asked who she was, and she hadn’t yet thought of a drag name. She claimed that all night long, her pals had been referring to her as “Courtney” and had been raving about how hot she was.
