Elyse Rox On Discovery’s HairStyle, The Talent Show
Elyse Rox is one of the contestants on Discovery’s Hairstyle, The Talent Show. Hairstyle: The Talent Show, created by Shine Iberia, premiered in the United States on November 17, 2023. Featuring Maestro Rossano Ferretti as the host and stylists Riawna Capri and Nikki Lee as co-hosts, this unique concept aims to find the next big name in hairdressing in the nation.
Maestro Rossano judges ten professional hairdressers from the United States on their talent, skills, and creativity. Along with a co-host from each nation, Rosanno will assess the candidates’ work in every broadcast. They won’t be by themselves, as well-known celebrities will stop by the salon to give advice on hair and lifestyle choices.
The competitor also has eyes on the prize of $150,000 which hopefully helps them to fulfill their dream of starting a posh salon. Leading brands in the hair industry, including Great Lengths extensions, Rossano Ferretti Parma hair treatments, Gama Professional dryers, and Maletti salon furniture, will work with a team of experts led by Rossano to make sure the project is successful.
The winner will also become a member of the esteemed international teaching team of the MDB Education hairstyling master’s program and get an additional $10,000 to spend on their business.
Hair maestro Rossano is among the most well-known stylists in the world, renowned for his avant-garde “The Method” cutting technique. Celebrities, royals, and VIPs attend his luxury salons in Milan, Paris, New York, Miami, Dubai, and Madrid. The Nine Zero One salon is owned by Riawna and Nikki and is situated in the center of Los Angeles. Established in 2009, this contemporary and inspirational venue is often frequented by a number of Hollywood A-listers, such as Emma Roberts, Nina Dobrev, Selena Gomez, and Hillary Duff.

Elyse Rox is an entrepreneur who founded Rockit Studio. She has been working in that role for more than 30 years and has been celebrated with a few awards.
Since 1992, Elyse has worked as a professional colorist and hair stylist. Elyse’s ability to combine her artistic vision, extensive industry knowledge, and keen sense of current trends allows her to provide her clients with hair colors and styles that complement their individual preferences while maintaining a gorgeous and healthy look.
Elyse takes great satisfaction in her innate ability to match a style to the individual or occasion. Every look that Elyse designs, whether it be modern, classic, outrageous wild, or subdued and traditional, is executed with style and precision. She has extensive knowledge of applying Balayage color, maintaining vibrant colors, and more.

Elyse is also known as Olaplex Advocate and Malibu C educator and can be found on Modern Salon’s Top 100 Hair Stylists, Behind The Chair 1 Shot Finalist, and featured on numerous social platforms. Besides running Rockit Studio, Elyse began educating fellow stylists. Elyse Rox called the late Edward Zydek and the late Sharon Stace her parents.
Edward was born on March 13, 1944, in Chicago, he was the son of Casimir and Helen (Myk) Zydek. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during the Vietnam era. Edward worked as a plant manager for Double Image Press in Elgin. He was a member of the Wood Turners of Northern Illinois.
Edward died at the age of 62 in July 2006. He was survived by his wife Carole Zydek. Carole is age 78. She is an owner at Tiny Timbers.
Sharon, Elyse’s mom, passed away at the age of 61 in May 2005. She was born to Irving and Maye Kazonovitz.
Elyse also has one sister named Dori Zydek. Dori is 50 years old as of 2023. She has worked as VP of Product Marketing and Engagement since Perfection Learning.
Elyse Rox Husband
Elyse Rox is currently married to her husband Shaun Marr aka Spitty Marr. The couple married in January 2018 and has been happily married ever since.
On their 4th anniversary in 2022, Elyse took to her Facebook and wrote, “Today’s my 4th anniversary with the most amazing husband ever. This morning he surprised me with a gorgeous tennis bracelet. I’m still sad because I’m leaving him today to go on Olaplex holiday. Even tho I know he’s so excited for me and he loves watching me grow. While I’m still excited to see my friends in Kauai I wish I was going with him. Love you, Spitty Marr. thanks for being the most supportive husband ever.”
As of 2023, Shaun is age 50. He is a general manager at Hammond Steel Components.
Elyse Rox Height
Elyse Rox’s height measures above 5’4”. She has lived with Carpal tunnel syndrome, a painful foot condition called Morton’s Neuroma, and a bad back but decided to take care of it by undergoing minimally invasive procedures.
She pops into the break room throughout the day in the salon to use a foam roller on her back, she reduces her schedule to four days a week and she plans to take a vacation every six to eight weeks to give her body a chance to rest.
“I never thought about any of these things when I started doing hair at the age of 14,” Elyse says. “But now it’s all catching up with me!”
