Eric Hollenbeck has a total net worth above $1 million. He started working in the woods when he was 15 years old. In 1973, he set out to found a salvage logging company with 3 partners and a $300 bank loan. Moreover, Eric and his partner rented the old North Mountain Power Company building for $50 a month to store their truck and cables. Initially built in 1904, the building started falling apart by1973. Bank offered 100% financing to Blue Ox and they bought the property with payments of $600 a month.
Consequently, Eric and his wife Viviana decided to dedicate their energies toward manufacturing and began turning out prefabricated sheds. Between building sheds and turning their old salvage logs into fence posts, Blue Ox was one of the few timber-related companies to survive the financial crash. His clients included hundreds of homeowners, as well as governors’ mansions, national parks, historic cathedrals, even the President of the United States Bill Clinton.
