In Palm Beach, Felicia was recently taken into custody on suspicion of hit-and-run. The retired anchor-correspondent for “World Business Today” on CNN International was detained on July 28 after she reportedly injured another driver while operating her white Mercedes and fled the scene, according to Palm Beach Police. According to the complaint, Taylor, who is well-known in the social circles of New York City, the Hamptons, and Palm Beach, was then twice seen driving past the scene of the collision in her automobile, which had “sustained heavy front end damage,” without stopping.
She was then pulled over by a police officer who stated, “Taylor acknowledged being involved in a traffic crash and the other driver was “OK”. “Taylor continued to state that she wanted to go back to her house . . . and the accident was ‘not a big deal.’ ”
She informed the policeman that she was coming from The Colony Hotel, adding that “and when confronted that the Colony Hotel was closed, Taylor didn’t have a response.” She denied using prescription medication or drinking alcohol, and the policeman stated that he did not notice any alcohol odor on her.
The other motorist complained of jaw, head, neck, and back discomfort, which EMTs attended to on the spot. Felicia walked from the scene unharmed after EMT examined her twice.
According to PageSix, the police officer added, “Prior to the crash, Taylor stated she was at a restaurant on Worth Avenue and then stated she was at a restaurant in the Royal Poinciana Plaza. We were unable to locate a restaurant that recalls Taylor as a guest”.
Taylor also “wanted the injuries of the other driver to be substantiated” and stated, “the damage to her vehicle is her problem, it’s ‘hard to be a good person’ and she didn’t stop at the accident scene because she didn’t know there was anything to be concerned with,”.
Moreover, authorities detained and brought Felicia to the Palm Beach County Jail. They booked her on charges of reckless driving and fleeing the scene of a serious collision. She pleaded not guilty and posting a $3,000 bail led to her release.
