The Prince George’s County Police Department stated that Francesco Marlett, a Prince George’s Police officer, has been suspended after a social media video showed him kissing a woman before they sat in the backseat of a patrol car went viral.
He and the woman are shown in a lewd video that has gone viral on social media. The officer with the shaved head can be seen giving the woman a passionate kiss in the video in question before grabbing her behind. He then leads her to the back of his squad car while putting his arm around her shoulder. After closing the door behind him, the uniformed policeman enters the vehicle.
“PGPD Executive Command is aware of a video circulating on social media with one of our officers,” the Prince George’s County Police said. “As soon as we became aware earlier today, we opened an investigation to determine the circumstances.”
Nelson O, who reportedly withheld his last name out of fear of reprisals, claimed to have recorded the footage of the incident that was posted on a relative’s TikTok account, according to our media partner The Baltimore Banner. When he saw the officer walking around in Oxon Hill’s Carson Park looking “suspicious, but when [he] saw the young girl pull up, [he] started recording because something didn’t seem right,” he said, adding that the woman appeared to be in her early 20s. He was there to play soccer with his child, family, and friends at the time.
Nelson O. informed the Banner that the two stayed in the car for around 40 minutes before getting out and speeding out of the park in their individual cars.
“It was concerning because there’s kids around,” he said. “It just seemed off because this is the person that you’re supposed to call for suspicious activity doing the suspicious activity, you know.”
The video has reportedly received millions of views, according to WUSA9, a CBS affiliate in Washington, D.C. Children can be seen running in the park in the footage that has been shared throughout social media, and according to neighbors, there were several families with children present when the incident occurred, according to the station.
