TMZ reported, Gabriel Hall, brother of “Bachelor” nation Ivan Hall has been charged with the murder of 33-year-old Carlos Veliz Jr. Gabriel was arrested in October in Abilene, Texas. Police revealed that two men got into a verbal argument around 1:30 AM on 31 August 2021, then he pulled out his gun and allegedly shot the man on his head, killing him.
Cops also revealed they connected Gabriel to the crime with the help of surveillance footage in the area that linked a car he was renting to the scene. Carlos’ autopsy deduced that he was shot with a 9mm bullet that the legal documents claim was ‘consistent’ with the shell casing in Gabriel’s rented car. They also said they found a spent shell casing in the vehicle as well as evidence of gunshot residue on Hall’s hands and clothing.
According to the reports of Heavy based on Big Country Homepage, Gabriel was a suspect in the case and was arrested on unrelated charges on 1 September 2021. As reported, he was charged for “Unlawful Possession of Firearm by a Felon, Possession of a Controlled Substance (Morphine Sulfate), Possession of a Controlled Substance (Amphetamine), [and] Possession of a Controlled Substance (Alprazolam).”
Within two weeks of the arrest, Gabriel posted the bond and got released from prison. Reports revealed that he was being held in Taylor County Jail on a $400,000 bond.
Gabriel has appeared on his brother’s Hometown Date on Clare’s “The Bachelorette.” Ivan shared about his brother’s appearance on the show, “The biggest surprise of the night was that my brother was here. It was just a range of emotions. It meant the world to me.”
