Meet Gráinne Mullan, Andy Fletcher Wife
Gráinne Mullan first met the love of her life, Andy Fletcher, back in 1988. At the time, Andy was already touring the world and Gráinne was just a fangirl who worked at Gascognes as its managing director.
Fast forward to 5 years of dating, Gráinne and Andy then went on to tie the knot on January 16, 1993.
Sadly, the pair could only celebrate 29 wedding anniversaries before Andy left this world in May 2022. Just a year before, the lovebirds had a lovely evening celebrating their 28th anniversary. Infact, the day was so well that Gráinne, then, even took it to her IG to write, “Happy Anniversary to us! No sun-kissed beach this year. No complaints. Just thankful.”
However, that wasn’t the first time Gráinne wished her late husband a happy wedding anniversary. Back on Jan 17, 2019, she took it to her IG to write, “Another wedding anniversary in a heavenly place. Returning from dinner to find our entire bedroom strewn with petals and candles. Thank you Jumby Bay,”
As for Andy, he wasn’t much vocal about his love for his wife.
The last post on Gráinne’s IG before Andy passed away was dated April 17, 2022. At the time, the husband and wife were on a vacation in Barcelona, Spain, and Andy had a fractured wrist. “Not exactly how we planned to spend the first weekend of our holiday. No more cycling for a while,” she wrote at the time.
Andy’s untimely death came as a surprise to many. According to his band members, they were “shocked and filled with overwhelming sadness” for losing a “dear friend, family member, and bandmate.” Also, they mentioned that Andy had a “heart of gold” and the world had lost yet another genuine soul.
Do Andy Fletcher And His Wife Gráinne Mullan Have Kids?
Yes, Gráinne and Andy share two kids. They welcomed their first child Megan on August 25, 1991, (before marriage), and their second, Joe, on June 22, 1994 (after marriage).
Their son, Joe Fletcher is a teacher by day and a DJ and Bartender by night. He taught at Gesher School, DJed at KOKO London, and bartended at Soho House & Co.

Megan turned 30 on August 25, 2021. Wishing her a happy birthday, Gráinne took it to her IG with pics of beautiful sunflowers to write, “Beautiful sunflowers for the amazing girl who brought so much sunshine into our lives this day. Happy 30th birthday darling Megan! We love you so so much!”
Trivia: Gráinne is also a grandmother now.

Gráinne Mullan is a New Hall School 1980 graduate who went to join Ferret and Spanner PR in 1985. So, by the time she quit her job there (in 1991), she was already the head of TV.
The next year, she then joined Gascognes as its managing director and served the company for 9 years straight.
On the other hand, her husband Andy toured the world with his band Depeche Mode ever since the 80s. He was one of the founding members of the band alongside Gahan, Gore, Andy, and Vince Clarke. The group first hit the chart success in the 80s and 90s with singles including New Life, Enjoy the Silence and Just Can’t Get Enough.
His last studio album with the band was 2017’s Spirit — their 14th album — which reached number five on the UK albums chart.
The world has indeed lost one of its best keyboardists. “Fletch was a warm, friendly, and funny person who loved electronic music and could also give sensible advice about the music business,” synth-pop duo Pet Shop Boys shared a post after his death.
Also, Sister Bliss, from the electronic band Faithless, described Andy as a “keyboard warrior” and tweeted that he was “gone way too soon.”
Before his death, Andy’s net worth was estimated to be $70 million.
