Enza is the daughter of Anna Abbate, who passed away at the age of 87 in November 2021, and Paolo Abbate who passed at away 91 in March 2013. The late matriarch was born in Tunisia to Vito and Vita (Carrubba) Torregiano and was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church. She enjoyed cooking, playing bingo, and sewing. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, sons Vito, and Antonio Abbate, her brother Vincent Torregiano, and both her parents.
Speaking of Enza’s dad, he was born in Italy to Antonio and Vincenza (Garitta) Abbate. He was the owner and operator of a grocery store, and a restauranter and was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church. Not to miss, he also served in the Italian Army Calvary during WWII and was a prisoner of war for 2 years. An Italian immigrant, he had come to the United States to live the American Dream.
Surprisingly, back in May 2018, Enza and her husband, together, appealed the trial court’s order denying their amended motion seeking sanctions against none other than Enza’s mom Anna Abbate.
