Well, making marriage work is indeed hard, but put the stress of being restaurateurs on top of that, and you’re walking on thin ice. Just as the trailer questioned the show’s journey for these couples “The perfect pairing or a recipe for disaster?”

James Martin Career
James Martin is a chef through and through. He has had over a decade of experience in fine dining. Starting his journey at the Art Institute of Washington’s culinary program while working for Chef RJ Cooper at Vidalia (2007 – 2008), James then moved to Chicago and worked under Chef Bruce Sherman at Northpond for 7 months.
In 2009, James then started as “Chef de Partie” at Michael Mina’s Bourbon Steak at Four Seasons and continued developing his skills as a cook at three Michelin Star Chef Jean Georges’ flagship restaurant in New York City, before returning to the area to join the Wine Kitchen (2011 – 2012) in Frederick, MD as “Executive Sous Chef.”
Then on, James served as an “Executive Chef” at Restaurant Nora, District Supper, Pamplona, A10 restaurant, and Four Corners. And today, he owns his own restaurant Bocadillo Market which has been nominated for Jean Banchet Awards for Culinary Excellence.
His restaurant explored the culinary traditions behind the cuisine, from the Moor’s influence on Spanish agriculture and dishes to the Spanish impact on low country food and agriculture. It served Coffee, Sweets, Bocadillos, Dinner, Brunch, Wine, and Cocktails. Also, they were open for reservations.
As for James’s education, James graduated from Charles Herbert Flowers High School in 2005 and went on to study a 2-year Culinary Arts course at the Art Institute of Washington.
Trivia: Bocadillo Market was closed from July 3rd through July 12th for “some much-needed rest.”
