ABC’s The Bachelor: The Women Tell All had big news. Immediately after filming wrapped, host Jesse Palmer asked Zach Shallcross’ ex, Charity Lawson to be the new Bachelorette for Season 20! Though Charity initially refused to believe the proposal once she knew for certain it wasn’t a joke, she said, “It is a yes! Absolutely! 100%, like, absolutely. Wait, I’m gonna cry. I’m shaking right now.”
“I’ve waited forever to find the love of my life, and it blows my mind that I could meet my person and be engaged and literally have my happily ever after,” she added.
Thus, a brand-new season began with 25 men including James Pierce vying for the Bachelorette’s heart.
“Don’t sue James for being a total dream. This charming attorney grew up on an apple farm and describes himself as an inquisitive, determined, and passionate man. He’s trusting the process in hopes of finding someone exceptional. Will Charity be that person? The jury’s still out, but we’re swooning,” James’s ABC bio read.

Reportedly, Charity’s overnights took place in Fiji, where Dotun and Aaron ran a 10K marathon for a charity. Though it was a rough first date for Aaron, Dotun (who was a track star in college) on the other hand, had a good time with the Bachelorette.
As for each contestant’s hometown episode, it took place — Joey’s on April 11, Xavier’s on April 13, Aaron’s on April 15, and Dotun’s on April 17, 2023.
The Bachelorette season 20 premiered on June 26, 2023. “I definitely am looking for someone who is a compassionate person, so someone who is extremely kind and treats others well,” Charity said in the inaugural episode.
