VH1’s RuPaul’s Drag Race season 14 premiered on January 7, 2022, but it was a two-part premiere! Yes, only 7 contestants were introduced in the first half, and the rest 7 joined in on the 3rd episode.

This season, Jasmine was joined by co-stars Alyssa Hunter, Angeria Paris VanMichaels, Bosco, Daya Betty, DeJa Skye, Jorgeous, June Jambalaya, Kerri Colby, Kornbread “The Snack” Jeté, Lady Camden, Maddy Morphosis, Orion Story, and Willow Pill.

Also, the drag race tradition broke this season, after a straight, cisgender man, Maddy was cast on the show.

Promoting herself, Jasmine took it to her IG on Dec 23, 2021, to write, “Happy Holidays from me and my season 14 sisters.”

Also, a day before the premiere date, Jasmine made sure to remind everyone not to forget to watch the show. “In the words of my good sis @scarletenvy …..Is it me!? Am I the drama? Make sure to tune in TOMORROW for the premiere of @rupaulsdragrace,” she wrote over IG.

Jasmine Kennedie Job

Jasmine Kennedie is a drag queen by profession. Pre-pandemic, she worked 4-5 nights a week, and now, though the gigs are less, she was able to “adapt” and still maintain her job as a drag performer.

This self-labeled “backflipping bimbo” from New York City, Jasmine always dreamed of going to Hollywood. So, she learned how to make up from her sister and Youtube videos and started from there. Over time, with more experimentation, she then finally realized her gift. “I feel I paint more on the ‘old way’ of drag: a lot of powder, and seven different colors for contour. Taking off my makeup takes as much effort as getting to the center of a Tootsie Pop,” she said.

Within no time, she got so popular that she even was featured in the Cosmopolitan magazine before she appeared on RuPaul’s Drag Race in 2022.

However, Jasmine wasn’t always into the arts. She was more of an athletic person. She played soccer for eight years, swam and dove for three played lacrosse, and even ran a cross country track.

“But I used to always play in my mom’s makeup and clothes as any drag queen did,” she recalled.

Also, she was often involved with cheerleading at school.

Jasmine Kennedie Family

Jasmine Kennedie comes from a Polish American family of four. She was born to parents, Joy Bell and Rick Koritkowski, and has a sister named Carlee Koritkowski.

Her father, Rick is a Connecticut native, who loved playing basketball and dancing in a Polish dance group. However, after high school, he went on to begin his career in bartending and worked there almost all his life.

As for her mother, Jasmine shared that Joy was the “best mom anyone could ask for.” Also, recalling the time her mother found out that she did drag, Jasmine shared, “She said ‘if you’re going to be a drag queen. you’re gonna be a classy one.’”

Talking about her sister, Carlee is a nature enthusiast who studied Ecology at SUNY Plattsburgh. As of 2022, she lived in  Salt Lake City, Utah working at the Student Conservation Association.
