Meet Jody Davidson, The Mighty Underdogs Star
Discovery channel came with a new show titled “The Mighty Underdogs.” The show featured young boys and girls who joined the show to show off their skills as Junior Handler. So the kids of course are going to need assistance, so here we have Jody Davidson a professional dog trainer who will be coaching the teens.
In the show, young teens will be competing against each other to secure the spot at the AKC National Championship and Westminster Dog Show. So, Jody’s job is to guide these kids to get the job done. Some of the young contestants are Emerson (13-years-old), Turner (16-year-old) who have only a short amount of time before he is unable to take part in the competition because of his age, Camryn (13-year-old) who has a Pomeranian named Kevin, Lily (13-years-old) who has social anxiety but certainly loves showing her dog Gnarly.
Over the years, Jody has worked with several companies as a dog trainer and polished her skills. She worked as a dog trainer CPDT-KA for Ph.D. Obedience. She started training dogs in 1963 at the age of 11. Throughout her career, Jody has earned more than 32 AKC Companion Dog titles, 8 Companion Dog Excellent titles, and 4 Utility Dog titles as well as more than 64 other AKC Championship, Rally, and Obedience titles.
Jody is also a member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers and certified as a Dog Trainer through The Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers. Additionally, Jody served as an AKC Canine Good Citizen, Canine Good Citizen Advanced, and S.T.A.R. Puppy Evaluator.
Moreover, Jody is also one of a select group of AKC evaluators eligible to do Temperament Testing. She is one of the most successful coaches of Junior Showmanship competitors in the country whose kids regularly qualify for National Finals and rank among the top juniors in the nation.
