90 Day Fiancé fans have known the couple Jon Walters and Rachel Bear since they debuted their love story on TLC back in 2018 on season 2 of the spinoff 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 9.

Meeting while singing duets on a karaoke app, Rachel Bear, the Albuquerque, New Mexico native traveled to England with her infant daughter, Lucy, to meet Jon Walters for the very first time.
Despite an uncomfortable confrontation about Jon’s past legal troubles, the pair hit it off ultimately tying the knot in 2018; on Rachel’s second trip. Jon and Rachel were back on TLC in the fourth season of 90 Day Fiancé: What Now; which was filmed in January 2020. This time, the viewers watched Rachel and Lucy traveling to London yet again to reunite with Jon; after 210 days apart. The occasion however had been tainted by the fact that Rachel just had lost her job of 7 years, and the couple worried that, if she in case she was unable to show financial support to Jon, their pending visa application would be denied.
The couple shared more of their fears on 90 Day Fiancé: Self-Quarantined. They explored that they might need to find a co-sponsor if Rachel was unable to get a new job in time. (Jon having one criminal record, an assault charge to which he pleaded guilty for bodily harm without intent, was not at all helping the case.)
But, when taking to YouTube in September 2020, Rachel told her fans that she had had a job for quite a few months. And that, their visa processing was no longer in jeopardy. At the time, Rachel also promised that she and Jon would reunite in May 2021.
They were looking forward to May also because their wedding anniversary falls on this month. “Happy 2 Year Wedding Anniversary to my husband ❤️ I remember the minute we were pronounced “Husband and Wife”, I thought to myself “We did it..”. It wasn’t easy to get to where we were 2 years ago but we’ve accomplished so much in our relationship and we’ll conquer the battles ahead, as well. I love you @jonjwalters”, Rachel had written on her Instagram in May 2020.
On the other hand, Jon also reassured viewers that he and Rachel will be sure to post updates on YouTube. “TLC are not following us, [but] if you want to follow us through this stage of our journey, then please do on our YouTube.”
(Of course) they also shared plans for Jon to legally adopt Lucy. In the meantime, Rachel also shared custody with her ex of her eldest daughter Ella.
