On the history-making day, Jonathan Fisher won a total of $29,200 by landing on the two Daily Doubles in the “Double Jeopardy!” round and answering the “Final Jeopardy!” question correctly.
Placing second was Jessica Stephens, a statistical research specialist from Nashville, who earned $28,799.
Matt Amodio didn’t even make it to this round and came third pocketing $5,600.
“Everybody’s so smart and so competent that this could happen any game,” Matt mentioned. Also, he reminded everyone that he “always wanted to be a Jeopardy! champion” and he already “accomplished” that.
