Ken Goldin On Netflix’s King of Collectibles
Ken Goldin is the star of the new Netflix show King of Collectibles: The Goldin Touch. The show features Ken buying and selling some rare collectibles, including an original Apple I computer and Jackie Robinson’s Dodgers jersey.
This businessman started trading and selling baseball cards when he was just 13. Infact, he made so much money at the time that it was enough for him to pay for his college expenses at the George Washington University School of Business. After graduating from there in 1985, he then joined Drexel University to study Business Administration and Management to further hone his business skills.
While at Drexel, Ken also joined his father to start The Score Board Inc. Within years, their organization hit the $20 million mark and was selling collectibles worth $100 million by 1994. However, in 1997, Ken gave up his position as Co-Founder and CEO of the company to establish Goldin Sports Inc in January 1998.
Thereafter, he continued to sell collectibles through TV appearances, hosting auctions live on Instagram, and before he knew it he had thousands of followers. Thus, in 2012, he started Goldin Auctions headquartered in Runnemede, N.J., and made some of his most well-known sales over the years.
Now, Ken’s one of the most widely recognized leaders in the collectibles industry, and throughout his career has sold more than $1.3 billion in memorabilia from many of the biggest names in sports, history, and pop culture. He routinely sets records for the most expensive trading cards and other memorabilia ever sold, including the Mike Trout Bowman rookie card ($3.9 million), the Kobe Bryant jersey ($3.69 million), and the most expensive Michael Jordan’s autographed patch card ($2.7 million).

You might have seen Laura on King of Collectibles: The Goldin Touch during ep 4 when she accompanied him on a trip to Puerto Rico for a bid to secure some rare basketball memorabilia. Over the ep, Ken asked Laura if she’d consider working in his business.
