Meet Krystal Versace, Drag Race UK Season 3 Winner
“Oh my god. This has been the most amazing experience I could have ever wished for in my entire life. And I’m just ready to rule the fucking world!” is what 20-year-old Kent native said in her winning speech. Season 3 of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK came to an end and the winner Krstyal Versace.
She filmed the Drag Race at the age of 19 which made her the youngest contestant on the show, ever, to compete. Not only that, but her win also made her the youngest winner in the history of the show, across all franchises. She had a remarkable journey throughout the show.
Krystal won a maxi-challenge after lip-syncing and was also the one to win the first two challenges in a row.
Krystal’s first introduction to RuPaul’s Drag Race made her fall in love with the art form which she found open-minded. She had practiced makeup before, so she started experimenting with drag race makeup. The season 3 winner started buying wigs and heels and started experimenting.
But it wasn’t till May 2019 after attending a Werq The World concert and watching queens live for the first time, it lit a spark in him, and from there he booked his first gig, and then Krystal was out and about.
Speaking with Buzzfeed, she shared about her win and the reception. Krystal shared, “Oh my God, it feels crazy. To have that honor is a huge bonus. I do feel like in this experience I did my absolute best – like, I did everything I possibly could. So I’m very proud of myself and I’m very grateful to be in this position today, and for everyone that helped me get here.”
About the reception after her win, Krystal shared that it has been incredible. She shared that she felt overwhelmed that she could barely reply to any of the questions. She also shared that she loved all the memes and the funny moments.
Krystal Versace Real Name
Krystal Versace’s real name is Luke Fenn. She remembers when she first got her drag race name, and it was back in March 2019. A guy she had a conversation with helped her name “Krystal born-to-be-drag-queen Versace.” The conversation moved to drag, and she didn’t have a drag name at the time.
He told her that he liked the name ‘Crystal’ for her and she liked it. The last name of course came from a brand and she had been liking the name for a long time.
