Lauren Jenai breathed a sigh of relief this December 2022. After three long years, the CrossFit co-founder is finally off the hook for the $2 million in bail money she put up to spring her second soon-to-be ex-husband Franklin Tyrone Tucker.

Meet Lauren Jenai, CrossFit’s Greg Glassman Ex-Wife
Lauren Jenai is Greg Glassman’s second ex-wife. The two married after Greg’s first marriage to Brande Jones came to an end. Unfortunately, the co-owners of CrossFit weren’t a good match, and it was too late before they realized it.
In the year 2009, Lauren and Greg then filed for divorce which would divide their business into two equal parts. However, it took years for their contentious divorce to finalize and it was only in 2013 that they reached a settlement.
Sadly, Lauren was also forced to give up half of her business for being able to go through the divorce.
Well, the brand’s now much better valued than it was in 2009 when the separation of assets took place. Reportedly, Greg obtained the financing he needed in the form of loans from other companies with which he had a close relationship to meet the $16.2 million that belonged to his ex-wife.
But though Lauren received $16.2 million, the 4-year divorce struggle she spent, raising 4 children on her own, led her into such a negative spiral that she ended up in depression.
After the divorce, Greg, who single-handedly rebuilt CrossFit, went on to marry his third wife Maggie Robinson — a CrossFit athlete almost three decades his junior. Now, the millionaire fathers a total of seven children.
Did you know: Greg Glassman founded CrossFit with Lauren back in 2000. From its first affiliate gym based in Seattle in 2005, the brand has now grown to over 13,000 gyms all over the world.
Lauren Jenai Relationship Status Today
Lauren Jenai is in a “complicated” relationship today (as of 2022). She’s split from her second husband Franklin Tyrone Tucker, but their divorce has yet to be finalized.
In fact, she still has to pay $75,000 bail money for Franklin — which was initially $2 million! The bond money was reduced in December 2022 after the initial bond deal expired.
Originally, Lauren put up two of her homes to secure the bond. But as that bond deal expired after three years and the judge believed Franklin is “not a flight risk,” they eased the bail money. The next trial was expected to be held in the spring of 2023.
Looking back, Lauren first met Franklin as a teenager in Philadelphia in the late 80s. But since their lives were worlds apart — Lauren into fitness and Franklin into drifting — they never saw a possibility of them happening.
However, after Lauren was divorced, “single and loving it,” she saw that Franklin had been arrested. And while wasn’t looking for love or to “pick up someone else’s dirty socks,” she quickly contacted him. “He was shocked. He said, ‘I knew one of my friends would come looking for me, but not in a million years did I think it would be you,’” Lauren recalled the words Franklin said to her at the time.
So, after learning Franklin didn’t even have an attorney and something “shady was going on,” she set on helping him, and whilst fighting for justice, the pair married in June 2020.
Sadly, once again, Lauren’s marriage went south and they separated in 2021.
They were expected to divorce after Franklin’s case gets resolved.
