Lynette Romero Quits KTLA
On September 14th, 2022, KTLA’s officially announced the departure of Lynette Romero through a Twitter post captioned, “After nearly 24 years at KTLA, our Lynette Romero has decided to move on and pursue another opportunity. We wish Lynette nothing but the best of luck on her next chapter.” And naturally, fans were in dismay.
Disappointed with the fact that Lynette was dismissed without a proper goodbye, a fan wrote, “@KTLA @NXSTMediaGroup Granted I’m just a viewer and don’t know the whole ins and outs of what happened but the way the amazing @LynetteRomero was seemingly dismissed today without giving her a proper goodbye opportunity is a BAD look.”
To which, Lynette responded by saying she will always be grateful for “the love and affection,” and this wasn’t the end for her — “Stay tuned my friends I’ll be right back,” she added.
Also, another fan showed concern that the KTLA weekend morning show was “just going downhill.” Well, given the departure of Liberty, Dayna, Courtney, and now, Lynette, it certainly isn’t the same morning show anymore.
But with that being said, the departure of old hosts certainly doesn’t mean that the show will be any less entertaining.
