Ma Sun-ho On Netflix’s Physical 100
Bodybuilder Ma Sun-ho joined Netflix’s Physical 100 in hopes to win 300 million won after completing a series of challenges.
The show is Netflix’s first Korean survival show. On January 24, the first two episodes on the streaming service were released, and a lot of viewers tuned in to see what it was all about. If the top 10 TV shows on Netflix are any indication, Physical: 100 is doing very well. It is currently at No. 7 and doesn’t appear to be dropping off any time soon as of Jan. 26.
Jang Ho-gi is the creator of the reality competition program Physical: 100. There are nine episodes altogether, and each Tuesday, two new episodes are released on Netflix. The program follows 100 competitors with varying ages, genders, and physical characteristics. They engage in intense competition with one another to demonstrate their physical prowess and for the chance to claim the title of “most perfect physique.”
Of course, the winner will also receive a 300,000,000 (WON) cash prize. The cast includes members of the national team, weight lifters, actresses, bodybuilders, ice climbers, influencers, TV personalities, MMA fighters, and others from a variety of professions. The married couple welcomed their son Ian on 8 October 2019. Ma Sun-ho is currently working as a fitness trainer at Victory Gym. Back in 2018, he received a pro card in bodybuilding. He participated in the bodybuilding competition himself since 2008. He has also opened up about doping in bodybuilding and getting away with it.
In July 2018, Sun-ho shared that the gym achieved the highest sales ever in the 3rd year of Victory Gym opening. He added, “When we first entered this Soha commercial district, we were the only ones at PT Shop, but before we knew it, only 3 nearby competitors had increased. As a representative, I had a lot of worries and concerns… I feel anxious when I see flyers and banners of competing companies increasing around the main road… If you think about it again, it’s not a competition, but each other and everyone should be good. They may be in the same industry, they may be the head of a family, they may be more earnest than I am, or it may be a dream that I have achieved so much. I also worked at the previous center for 7 years before opening it.”

In August 2018, he also ran and completed the 2018 Positive Behavior Support Physical Fitness Program for the visually impaired for 10 weeks at Incheon Hyegwang School – Special School for the Visually Impaired. It was a project that started for the health of the body and mind of the visually impaired, and there were many difficulties in the part of giving classes to 20 to 30 visually impaired students.
Sun-ho also runs online coaching/lectures.
In September 2018, he served as the judge of the ICN Competition after 10 years of competing as a natural bodybuilder.
Sun-ho also worked at Gwangmyeong Fire Station as a firefighter. He was in Marine Corps before and was discharged in 2004.
